Senior Adults
The Senior Adult Ministry of Applewood Baptist Church exists for the purpose of meeting the spiritual needs of those who are seniors while providing family-centered fellowship and social interaction through a variety of activities. Opportunities for Bible study, worship, fellowship, and to reach out to those who need to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord are given high priority.
“The righteous will flourish like the palm tree… they will still yield fruit in old age.” Psalm 92:12, 14
B.A.L.L. Club
What is B.A.L.L. Club? It stands for Be Active, Live Longer, which is exactly what we want you to do! We meet the 3rd Monday of the Month from September - April (not in December) for a time of fellowship with the senior adults (55+) of Applewood. This is a great opportunity to invite your circle of friends to the church! Our monthly meetings include a hymn sing, a missions presentation from a local missions partner, and a light lunch. We'll recognize birthdays and anniversaries, too! Lunch is just $5/person and our Food Service team makes the best lunch around! We meet in the Fellowship Hall (lower level of the main building) from 10:30-noon.
Compassionate Connections – reaches out to those who are physically unable to attend church services.
Care Center Ministry – worship and Bible studies led by volunteers are held regularly in selected care centers.
