What We Value

AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS

Relationships are at the heart of Christianity. Both our relationship with God and our
relationships with other people are informed and transformed through the gospel. We are not
only reconciled to God but reconciled to other believers with whom we are called to live in loving community. (Matthew 22:34-39; Acts 2:42-47)

BIBLICAL AUTHORITY

The Bible, as God’s Word, is the ultimate authority over humanity and we embrace it as our
final authority for life and ministry. It is the only infallible, inspired without error, word of God.
It speaks to every issue of life and instructs the church in truth. (Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-
17, Hebrews 4:12)

INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP

Making disciples is the one essential mission of the church that informs everything we do.
Discipleship involves reaching the lost, raising up believers in God’s Word and way, and
reproducing leaders. We intentionally seek to help people meet Jesus, growing in their
relationship with God, and be equipped for ministry. (Matthew 28:16-20; Ephesians 4:11-16)

DEPENDENT PRAYER

In Christ, we have direct access to the ear of our Heavenly Father through prayer. God desires
that we passionately seek his presence and come to Him on a continual basis with all of our
cares and concerns. Through prayer we show our dependence on God, submit ourselves to his
will, and intercede for others. (Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 )

EVERYDAY WORSHIP

Worship is not simply the gathering of believers on a weekly basis, it is a lifestyle of praising and honoring God in everything we do.  God has given each of us unique gifts and passions, placed us in different neighborhoods and workplaces, all so that we might serve and represent Him to a watching world.  Our worship is expressed through private and public devotion to God the Father, through Christ the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit. (John 4:21-24; Romans 12:1-2)
